The Social Worker

Once upon a time in Heaven, the angels

became sad, from all of the suffering

going on in the world. So, they asked

of the Lord, “What type of person can

Heaven send, to help the people?”

“Well, I think that person will have to

be very special. Also, they will have to

possess a beautiful heart, so they can

treat the people with kindness and respect.”

And God then said, I shall give this new

vocation, a title and will call it, "social

worker."

Then, the angels asked of the Lord, “Will,

they need any special talents, in order to

help the people?” “Of course,” said the

Lord. I shall give them a high degree of

intelligence, and fill their minds with

wisdom, but most of all, I shall fill their

hearts with my love."

Then, the angels smiled and were filled

with joy, because God had just made

the, mold for the vocation of social

worker, and he made it in his image.

So, next time you meet a social worker,

please remember that they are God’s

servants, sent to do his will upon the

earth!

Overcoming Adversity

Overcoming adversity, is a gift from

God, as it makes us stronger in the

end. One of the many wonderful,

attributes of God, is that things

always turn out for the best for

those who trust in the Lord.

There are times in life, when the

enemy of our souls, whispers in

our ears, that God no longer hears

us, or even cares about us, but we

know that’s not true.

For men and women may fail in

life, but God’s love and mercy is

with us forever. For God, is

everything that is good and

wonderful in life! And, there is

nothing that he wouldn’t do for us.

But alas, we are walking for now,

within the valley of tears.

But take heart, as God will not let

us down, neither will God allow us

to suffer forever. Ask God to fill

you with his light, so that you can

see within the terrible darkness of

this world.

Be gentle, like a dove and always

forgive offenses, shower love and

mercy, upon the widows and

orphans, so that the light of God,

will illuminate your path and

God’s glory will protect you.

Be always trusting in God,

while staying aware of the deceit

and tactics of the enemy. This

way, you will not only protect

yourself, but also protect those

you love! Take heart, for God is

with us, forever!

Heaven

Heaven, must be a beautiful place.

A peaceful place, where there is

plenty of respect and love. A place,

where one can laugh, and feel the joy

of God’s grace.

A beautiful place where there is

nothing to fear, no sickness, or pain,

and no death. A place where the heart

knows no deceit and where truth and

honesty is the norm.

A place where prayers rise up like a

beautiful mist surrounding us with

God’s love. Where birds sing and

give glory to he who is the creator

of everything that exists.

My soul longs for the presence of

the only one, who can satisfy my

thirst for the healing living water,

which comes from the very fountain

of life, which is God.

In him I will dwell forever, far from

the pain and suffering of this world.

And I will thank him and praise him,

for he is truly God Almighty, creator

of Heaven and earth and everything

else which is good.

Far from the madness, and under a

resplendent rainbow, will I sit at his

feet and love him as he has loved me,

since the beginning of time. Yes, in

the kingdom of Heaven will I dwell

forevermore.

Eternal Queen of Heaven

In the still of the night, I saw

you gazing down upon me,

while millions upon millions

of stars adorned your crown.

A multitude of brown souls

and hearts all sang to you,

in unison. For in your hands,

you held the strength of the

jaguar, amidst the scent of

fragrant roses.

And in your radiant beauty

shone the holy presence of

your essence. As I walked

along the desert floor you

shielded me from the heat,

and opened up springs of

living water for me to drink.

When I was hungry you

gave me corn from the

earth to nourish my weary

body, and in the coldness

of the night you held me

in your arms, as a mother

holds a child to keep it

warm.

You have always been by

my side, holding my hand

as I walk the footpaths of

the Americas.

I will go wherever you lead,

for no matter where I travel

your eyes follow me and

I am never alone. Bless me

and pray for me, always.
